Description

This is a very good condition,
1968 Miguel Company A-1 (1A)
Flamenco Guitar.
This flamenco guitar was made by Miguel Company in Miami, FL.
This hand crafted guitar was built using solid cypress for the back and sides, a Mahogany neck and a solid spruce top. The headstock cap is rosewood. The guitar has a Miguel Company signature rosette with matching binding in very good condition.
The overall condition of the guitar is very good. The guitar has been restored using instrument grade lacquers. There were two cracked areas in the upper side of the guitar. There were a couple of hairlines in the top and one in the upper back. They were repaired to be strong and stable, while maintaining the guitar's original resonance.
Scale length on this guitar is 664 millimeters. This scale length gives the instrument excellent power and combined with a deep body, adds to the guitar's warm tone. Nut width is 50 millimeters. The ebony fretboard is in good condition. The guitar has just been refretted with period correct size frets of the right width with good height for easy playing.
Action on the 12th fret low E string is 2.6 millimeters and the 12th fret high E string measures 2.0 millimeters.
The guitar also features a recently installed new set of Geared Peg Head tuning keys that are smooth with good precision, while keeping the authentic look of ebony pegs.
The signed original label shows that this is a Miguel Company A-1, built in December of 1968.
This guitar will be carefully packed and shipped in a good condition hard shell case.
