The affable Castello shape 55, undeniably the most famous shape from the Italian marque and for good reason. There is just no other Pot like it, and no other that is as renowned for being such an incredible smoker through and through! Even better, this one is unsmoked and featured in a Fumed Top Old Sea Rock finish, stunning indeed! In a KKKK format, it appears to have an even more pronounced "chin" than others I have had which is the most recognizable attribute of the shape and quintessentially Italian. The hand feel is awesome with it's ultra craggy finish while also feeling lightweight and well balanced. Walls are quite thick surrounding a relatively modest chamber yet still offers healthy capacity due to the width. Shank transitions in a muscular profile and meets the crisp black lucite saddle stem with fishtail bit and signature white bar logo. The finish as previously mentioned is outstanding on this Old Sea Rock, exceptionally craggy rustication with the bottom half a beautiful fiery reddish orange that melds into the jet black fumed top upper half, wow! Comes complete with suede sock, this is hands-down one of the finest Castello 55's I have seen and awaits its first smoke!
