    Description

    This is hands-down one of the finest offerings from Chacom I've ever seen, what a pipe! While not advertised as such, Chacom used 100 year old briar to make these pipes with only 1245 made and this one numbered 233. Where they got 1245 centenary blocks? Well, it's widely rumored the French carry one of the largest stockpiles of the oldest briar on earth and Chacom certainly has a hand in it. This pipe was made in 2015 as their Pipe of the Year and is a fantastic bent Egg showing a touch of Cutty. The bowl is on the larger side and I love the half rough cut rim that actually shows a touch of plateau while the chamber is deep and generous. This shape cradles in hand perfectly and transitions effortlessly to a sturdy round quarter bent shank that is adorned with a brilliant Sterling Silver band struck "2015" and 925. Stem is gorgeous, a half saddle 9mm capable (comes with adapter) Cumberland that reminds me of Davidoff with an almost straight bit, down-turned bend, lovely "grain" and CC logo. The finish on this pipe is remarkable, a dark almost ebony contrast and what I love is that it's not too dark so you can perfectly see the briar's exceptional fine angel hair straight and flame grain, wow!!! Comes with original green stitched leather display box, this is quite a pipe from Chacom and absolutely will not disappoint.
