. Made in Edinburgh, Scotland from 1895-1905. Use kerosene as the light source. Photographic Quality early brass lens. All original parts. Original wooden Box.

The J. Lizars company was founded in 1830 by the optician John Lizars (1810-1879) in Glasgow, Scotland. Early-type image projector consisting of a large polished mahogany box with brass fittings and blued iron chimney. Doors on the side of the projector allow for access to filters and doors at the rear allow for attending to the light source. The projector is attached to a low wooden pedestal and is accompanied by a selection of lenses.

air spaced on the back. Could be use as Camera Lens. Clean glass, with no separations or scratches. Nice original finish to the wood. Seems like all original parts. Weight is 14.5lb without wooden box.
Wooden box is in USER condition and NOT perfect. Wood has some cracks. Has original paper label on it.
