Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose.
If the size is indicated by a number i.e. 36 that is the waist size in inches.
The rise is the measurement from  the waist to the crotch area
Low Rise is usually a cut that falls at your hips or at least below your navel.
Full Rise is a rise that goes up to your navel or even above.
Mid Rise falls between your navel and your hips.  Lower than a full rise brief, higher than a low rise brief.
If the sizing on the package is a letter i.e. S, M, L XL,XXL
