This incredible subject matter here from the biunials and slides in scenes and then being of the JW Black Company in Boston. You very seldom have ever seen advertising slides of magic lanternists let alone being related to famous people & era.
If you look up JW Black in Boston you will find he was a painter, a daguerreotype plate polisher, worked with John Adams Whipple who was involved in the 1st daguerreotype stuff in the USA, he was the photographer who took the picture in 1859 of John Brown which that daguerreotype had been on display in Washington DC. He has some incredible things he had done as well as this company. This is a slide I have had for a while & now time for someone else somewhere else to enjoy it or even show it off. ?'s please ask.
