Description
Manuel Rodriguez Centenario Model Classical Guitar #33. This is the top of the line Rodriguez model built to commemorate a century of guitar building, 1905-2005. It is signed by Manuel Rodriguez Sr. and his two sons Manuel Rodriguez Jr., and Norman Rodriguez. I believe they began building this model in 2005 and continued for a few years. Manuel Rodriguez Sr. died on Christmas day in 2008. This guitar is #33 in the series. It is in near-pristine condition. I was able to find exactly one nail mark on the top, without a single sign of having ever been played otherwise. It does have some issues with the finish, especially on the backside of the headstock where there is a milky appearance--see final photo. I had another of this model a couple of years ago that had the same finish issue. I believe these guitars listed new for over K, so this is a real bargain, as it is essentially in new condition. It has a big elegant tone, and plays very easily. The string height is 3.7mm on the low E and 3.5 on the high e, with some saddle room to lower if desired. The scale is 650mm with a 52mm nut. The top is fine European spruce, with rosewood back and sides (I believe Madagascar), with fustero tuners, and beautiful marquetry/binding and rosette. Comes with a hard shell case.
