Meade ETX-70

Description

This unit was taken apart, cleaned and repaired.
The flip mirror was cleaned.  The lens was cleaned and the edges painted black.  The interior of the tube was sanded and painted flat black.
The RA motor mount's tension clip was collapsed.  I cleaned it and built it up to about 1/4" with silicone gasket maker.  After thoroughly curing for about 48 hours,  it was re-assembled and sat for over 6 weeks with full pressure on it.  I then removed the base to inspect the repair.  The silicone had depressed a little, as I expected.  I re-assembled it and tested the unit.  It works as expected.  This is the first time I attempted this particular method of repair.
I am selling this "as-is" and will not guarantee how long this will function.  That is why it is listed as "Parts or Repair" instead of "Seller Refurbished.  No return accepted.
The unit is being sold as pictured.  There are front, rear and eyepiece holder caps.
There are no eyepieces, finder scope, hand controller, tripod, case, instructions or any other accessories included.
