Nice 1971 Optical Craftsman 8 inch f6.3Discoverer reflecting telescope A classic

I am selling my 1971 Optical Craftsman 8 inch f6.3 Discoverer reflecting telescope. I have owned this scope for a number of years but I have a 6 inch Criterion and and 8 inch orange tube C8 so it is redundant and must go. it makes me sad because it is a classic and you would have thought I learn my lesson after selling my 10 inch Cave but I guess not.
The scope is in very good to excellent condition The drive works as it should as does the Dec control. The legs have casters added so one can roll it around Not a great job but good enough. The pier and legs may have been touched up at one point but maybe not. The finder is nice as are the brackets There is one little ding on the tube The line you see is the seam. Otherwise the tube is wonderful. The Velcro by one of the tube rings to allow it to rotate without slipping down. The mirror is inscribed Clement 1971 and is in excellent shape Both mirrors were re coated with 96% enhance aluminum last year by Paul at Spectrum coatings Used him for years and he does a great job. The optics are very good as one would expect. The focuser was replaced as the original one (included) was not to good. I had to make the hole bigger so re mounting the original would require a plate The tube and rings weigh70 around 22lbs and the mount is around 70 with the CW being 25lbs Includes owners manual All in all a great scope in great shape mirrors are done so no worries there
I would really prefer local pickup but will ship at Buyers expense.  I have experience shipping large scopes and my packing is well respected.  Check my feedback.  Probably 4 boxes   Shipping and insurance if I have to ship it would be 5  flat rate. Thanks
