    Description

    This is a very special offering from Radice that was carved in 1997 and has not seen flame! At the time, this Collect 3 was the highest grade and you can certainly see why. It came from a private collector in Italy who only put the absolute finest of high grade pipes in his collection. It is a stunning shape, quite large and a Dublin at heart yet shows so much more with an almost rectangular freehand style craggy plateau rim with tons of briar surrounding the cavernous chamber yet not overly large. The shape of the bowl adds nice hand feel and as the bowl tapers I love that a small flat spot was added not only for the grade nomenclature but also to make for an excellent sitter as shown! What's even better? How about a Swan Neck shank that is 3/4 bent adorned with a brilliant Sterling Silver band adding another facet to this gem. Stem is original acrylic with perfect bend, slight fishtail bit and inlaid dual copper dot logo. The finish is gorgeous, much like a Dunhill Root Briar or a Castello Great Line while the grain is out of this world! 360 degree tight angel hair straight grain that is about as fine as it gets and looks painted on with a brush, truly remarkable. Unsmoked and comes complete with original logo glove, this Radice is for the utmost discerning collector and simply will not disappoint.
