For sale is this Nicaragua pottery vase.  It is made from local clay and then before it is fired, the artisan then carves the decoration in relief.  This vase is decorated in iguana figures.  After it is fired, the areas that haven't been cut away will be burnishes or colored with paints.  The artisan Juan P. Martinez signed this piece.  This vase measures 11 3/4" tall x 5.5" wide.  I rarely see piece in this size.  This would be a stunning addition to your pottery collection or as a gift to any reptile lover.
