HERE IS A 1982 MEMPHIS STATE UNIVERSITY TIGERS OFFICIAL GAME PROGRAM, SIGNED BY HEAD COACH REX DOCKERY (WHO DIED DECEMBER 12, 1983).
THE PROGRAM IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, AND IS SIGNED IN BLUE INK ON THE FRONT COVER---"Best Wishes      Rex Dockery".
80--PAGE PROGRAM IS DATED SEPTEMBER 11, 1982---GAME IS BETWEEN THE TIGERS AND THE VANDERBILT COMMODORES.
JOHN "REX" DOCKERY WAS THE HEAD FOOTBALL COACH AT MEMPHIS STATE UNIVERISITY (IS NOW THE UNIVERSITY OF MEMPHIS) FROM 1981 UNTIL HIS DEATH IN 1983.  COACH DOCKERY HAD A RECORD OF 8-24-1 (HIS FIRST 2 SEASONS, HIS TEAM HAD A 1-10 RECORD/HIS LAST SEASON HE WAS 6-4).
COACH DOCKERY DIED IN A TRAGIC PLANE CRASH DECEMBER 12, 1983.                    LATER IN DECEMBER, 1983, THE PLAYING SURFACE AT LIBERTY BOWL STADIUM WAS NAMED "REX DOCKERY FIELD".
