Description
Tsuge pipes are undoubtedly some of the finest pipes ever made, and Fukuda was ranked alongside the best of the Danish masters with Kikuchi following suit. This pipe I believe was made by Fukuda and remains unsmoked. It is a gorgeous bent Acorn with flowing lines, perfect engineering, and exceptional aesthetics. The Acorn cradles in hand comfortably with a very slight inward sloping rim leading to a generous chamber for its size. As the bowl tapers to a soft and rounded point, the transition lies just above in a sturdy yet elegant quarter bent round shank that is extended by a stunning translucent real horn extension which flares out a touch with a rounded face and inlaid silver ring to strengthen. Stem is hand-cut fancy ebonite with perfect bend; Tsuge certainly is second to none with their stem-work. The finish is a Danish like yellow/orange contrast which highlights the fine angel hair straight grain radiating out of birdseye on the heel all showing remarkable depth/layers. Comes complete with original thick white leather glove and gold lettering, a fantastic opportunity to pick up an unsmoked Tsuge from Fukuda-san!Nomenclature: TSUGE MADE IN JAPAN, 280 15, IKEBANA
