Vintage Eduardo Vega Mid Century Modern Art Pottery Pitcher Ecuador
This is a fantastic Mid Century Modern era hand made & decorated by Edurado Vega of Ecuador circa 1970s. Piece has a wonderful abstract pattern on both sides finished in orange, caramel, lilac and maroon glaze with a copperish metallic luster glaze base. Decoration is achieved through wax reduction (see pics). Pitcher is signed on one side “vega”(cipher). Item measures 7 ½” tall x 6 ½” wide x 4” deep. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
