    A rare and beautiful 1950's vintage souvenir pottery coffee mug made by Luis Salvador from Brasil.
    The exterior is decorated with the Imperial Coat of Arms for
    Brasil and has an overall crackle glaze typical of aging.
    Very attractive and well made.
    This piece would make an excellent gift for someone special.

    Luiz Salvador, along with other Portuguese, created a small pottery in the city of Iatipava, state of Rio de Janeiro, along the lines of located in Alcobaça, which was named after that Portuguese city. Shortly after, in 1952, Luiz had problems with partners, left the factory, and founded pottery "Luiz Salvador."
