The Marajoara Pottery is handmade by the natives of Marajo Island, located in the mouth of the Amazon River. It is an old art that has come to us through many generations.
The Artists today are the direct descendants of the original artist and have kept their tradition by not using anything modern such as electrical or mechanical tools, everything is handmade from the collection of the raw material and it's transport to the final touch.
Everything is made in the most primitive forms possible, thus, giving to the final product great historical value in a beautiful artistic work.
