    Description

This is a PHOTOCOPY of an awesome Vintage 1940s pattern to make doll clothes for your Sweet Sue, Toni or Miss Revlon Doll. Although all three of these dolls date to the 1950s, this pattern is the only way to get 1940s style clothing for these 1950s dolls. This pattern was original made for Manikin dolls but will fit the 1950s High Heeled Fashion Dolls. You may need to do some small alterations, depending on how you like your dolls clothes to fit. I have this pattern available in multiple sizes, so be sure that you are buying the right one. This auction is for the 20" tall doll and will fit dolls with measurements that are similar to: 9-3/4" chest, 7-1/4" waist and 9-1/2" hips.
This pattern makes: Dress with contrasting yoke and sleeves, Blouse, Kerchief and Slacks; Party Dress consisting of a short sleeved jacket and gathered skirt; Coat; Combination undergarment (like a camisole and panties in one); Long Petticoat. I include a color printout of the front cover, a black and white copy of the instructions, back cover and the complete pattern. Please email me with any questions that you have.

The Mannikin dolls were made in the 1940s by pattern companies. They were used as teaching tools for young girls who could make clothing just like adult clothing and then display the clothes on these dolls. Due to their popularity the mannequin style doll was made by several different companies and many patterns were made for them. The most popular size of doll was 12-12.5", but they were also made in 15" and 20" sizes.
This pattern was originally created March 8, 1943. The copyright for this pattern has expired and it entered the public domain Jan 1, 1972.
