William Optics Zenithstar 66 Telescope (read description)

William Optics Zenithstar 66 Telescope.
Bought on Cloudy Nights a few years back to do astrophotography but I only used a couple times and went back to just using camera lenses.
I noticed when using it that the slide could be extended or retracted without using the focusing dial, it doesn't move on it's own but also didn't take much force by hand to do so. Because I'm not a telescope guy I never knew if this is how it should behave or not.
I did get some great pictures of the Moon and Orion with it so it does seem to work as it should. But I want to be very up front just in case that is a problem or malfunction. Or whether it may or may not need repair.
The case is intact but as you can see from the images there is a crack on the outside on one side, and it does look older and weathered. The scope itself looks very nice cosmetically.
I also realized that there is no cap for the end of the telescope where the eyepiece goes.
