  • Condition: Good condition for the booklet. Very light edge wear. Very light soiling. Lower staple is not centered. The original envelope is in poor condition, with heavy age-darkening of the paper and heavy edge & corner wear, plus two of the edges are torn through.

    Description

    Booklet: Wrigley's "Mother Goose" Introducing the Sprightly Spearmen, 1913 version.  This is the 1913 version, which was subsequently copyrighted in 1915.  This booklet introduced the Sprightly Spearmen via Mother Goose limericks which were modified to espouse the benefits of Wrigley's chewing gum.  This version of the booklet is sprinkled with the
    early
    PSC (Profit-Sharing Coupon) icons.  A later version of the booklet was released in 1915 which used revised PSC icons.  Six sheets of paper within the covers, thus making twelve pages plus covers.  This 1913 version came in an envelope, shown with the other pictures.
    Size is approximately 4.1" wide by 5.9" high, when folded closed.
